 Buying From Us- Puppy Journey

Bringing a Siberian Husky into your life is a significant, long-term commitment. At Ukeevea, our puppy journey is designed to prioritise the welfare of our dogs while supporting families to make informed, responsible decisions.

We do not operate on a first-come or transactional basis. Each placement is thoughtful, intentional, and centred on the best interests of the puppy and the family.

Step 1: Learning & Enquiry

We encourage prospective owners to spend time exploring our website, particularly our Before You Buy, Ethics & Welfare, and Health & Breeding Practices pages.

When you feel Ukeevea may be the right fit for your family, you are welcome to get in touch via our Contact page. There is no “perfect” enquiry — we simply ask that you share some information about your household, lifestyle, and experience with dogs so we can begin an open and honest conversation.

Step 2: Getting to Know Each Other

Every enquiry is reviewed with care. Our goal at this stage is to determine whether a Siberian Husky — and our breeding program specifically — is likely to be a suitable match for your home.

This may involve:

  • discussing your lifestyle, work schedules, and family dynamics

  • talking through breed traits and challenges

  • answering questions about our dogs and breeding practices

This step is about mutual understanding. Responsible placement is always a two-way process.

Step 3: Planning & Availability

Litters at Ukeevea are planned with intention and purpose. Availability is determined by the goals of our breeding program and our ability to ensure the welfare of the breeding dogs, puppies, and future owners.

We may discuss:

  • current or upcoming litters

  • realistic timeframes

  • whether joining a future waiting list is appropriate

We do not promise puppies before they exist, and we do not match puppies based on appearance alone.

Step 4: Matching Puppies to Homes

Puppy matching is one of the most important stages of our process.

As puppies develop, we observe:

  • temperament

  • confidence levels

  • energy and drive

  • adaptability to different environments

Puppies are matched to homes based on suitability, not order of enquiry. This helps set both the puppy and the family up for long-term success.

Step 5: Deposit & Preparation

Once a suitable match has been identified, a deposit may be discussed to secure that placement. Deposits are part of a formal process and reflect the commitment involved in reserving a puppy.

Prior to go-home, families receive guidance on:

  • preparing their home

  • feeding and routine expectations

  • breed-specific care considerations

  • settling a puppy into family life

We are always available to answer questions during this stage.

Step 6: Go-Home & Transition

Puppies are not placed until they meet the minimum age requirements set by Dogs Queensland and Dogs Australia, and until we are confident they are ready for the transition.

Before going home, puppies receive:

  • appropriate veterinary checks

  • age-appropriate health care

  • early socialisation and enrichment

Our goal is to ensure puppies leave us confident, well-adjusted, and supported as they begin life with their new families.

Step 7: Ongoing Support for Life

Our responsibility does not end when a puppy goes home.

We provide ongoing support, guidance, and advice throughout the lifetime of every dog bred by Ukeevea. Should circumstances change at any point, we ask that owners contact us so we can assist and ensure the dog’s welfare remains protected.

Dogs bred by Ukeevea are never considered disposable.

A Final Note

Ethical breeding is not rushed, transactional, or pressure-based. It is built on trust, communication, and long-term responsibility.

If you value a thoughtful, welfare-first approach and believe Ukeevea may be the right fit for your family, we welcome you to begin the journey with us.

Full terms, inclusions, and policies are provided once a suitable match has been identified.
